I just found this on Netflix. Apparently it was a big deal back in 2017
It's an amazing show. There are some lulls but remains really enjoyable. Season 1 sets the tone, later seasons get even better.

It's neat to watch how strange life was back then. Even moving into the 20th century silly things that were done for aethetics were dangerous. During the construction of the Panama canal the hospitals would dres sup their social areas with rubber tree plants. When the ants began attacking the plants,
they placed the planters in slightly larger pots, then filled the middle void with water. This attracted mosquitoes, so you had a greater chance of
getting malaria in the hospital than in the jungle.
